Héritiers du Comte Lafon Macon-Uchizy ‘Les Maranches’ 2004
An uninspiring wine. The nose was quite green — rare for a 2004 white — with asparagus and gooseberry mixed up with pongy sulfur. The palate had a zippy acidity to it but this was a fairly poor showing from a producer I expected to be doing a lot better.
