Opened a few hours before consuming and quickly cooled before serving, as it was warm last night.
Developed appearance with bricking at the rim. Soft, elegant nose with spice, cedar, chocolate, leather and red berry confiture. The palate is resolved with soft tannins giving structure, a cleansing acidity, very long leathery, chocolatey finish. Delicious.
A fine wine, drinking well now.

I should have noted this earlier. The recent releases will be better than this. I can’t wait to taste them with age!
It’s really remarkable what a turn around Bouchard has made. Check out the recent raving from Burghound.
Th~e nice thing is, though Bouchard is more ubiquitous than ever, the quality across the range is fantastic.
